As the nature of work continues to evolve, our client recognized the need to rethink how their workplace supports the well-being, productivity, and connection of their people. This project marks a complete transformation — shifting from a traditional office layout into a more agile, human-centered environment designed for the way teams work today.
Our goal was to move away from static, dedicated offices and instead create a flexible workplace that prioritizes collaboration, adaptability, and shared experiences. The new layout introduces dynamic “neighborhoods” that give teams a sense of belonging while allowing for fluid movement throughout the space. A variety of collaborative zones, informal meeting areas, and shared amenities encourage interaction, knowledge exchange, and spontaneous moments of creativity that are often lost in conventional office setups.
Inspiration for the design draws deeply from the client’s heritage as a renowned Japanese home appliance brand. This influence is most prominently expressed in the reception area, where a striking feature ceiling becomes a visual focal point, subtly referencing the precision and innovation associated with their core business. Surrounding walls are enriched with preserved moss and natural tree trunk elements, evoking the serene beauty of a Japanese moss garden. This biophilic approach softens the environment and creates a calming first impression that resonates with visitors and employees alike.
By bringing the outdoors in, the workspace fosters a sense of tranquility and balance amid the pace of modern work life. The result is a thoughtfully designed office that not only supports operational needs but also nurtures well-being, strengthens collaboration, and reflects the brand’s cultural roots in a meaningful and memorable way.
